1/2 cup of dry lentils will cook up to become about 1 1/2 cups cooked lentils because they expand and absorb water like rice or pasta. You should put about one cup cooked lentils into the food processor with the other ingredients and process them into a pasty mixture, then stir in the remaining 1/2 cup cooked lentils for more texture. I haven’t tried it, but my first instinct is to replace the oats with cooked brown rice. I love brown rice in veggies burgers, and it should yield a similar texture. If you try it, let us know how it turns out!
