Kale and Potato Frittata by Alison's AllspiceThis simple kale and potato frittata has become  standard lunch fair on Saturdays at my house.  Frittata’s are a great clean-out-the-fridge meal, but are also special enough to excite!

I love the combination of kale and potatoes in this frittata.  Potatoes make it hearty and filling, and kale adds nice color, as well as nutritional value!  Really any veggies will do, but this is my favorite, and I usually have the ingredients on hand. Continue reading

Chipotle Fish Sliders with Sriracha Lime Slaw by Alison's AllspiceIf you like spicy food, you have got to try these chipotle fish sliders with sriracha lime slaw!  They have whole chipotle chilies blended into the fish patties, which is coated in corn tortilla chips.

The tortillas chips add nice texture, but better yet, they improve the flavor!  The subtle sweetness from the corn compliments the chipotle.  If you want to go an extra step with the sweet and spicy flavors, try sweet Hawaiian rolls! Continue reading

Cajun Black Eyed Pea Sweet Potato Cakes by Alison's AllspiceSo, black eyed peas have not always been my favorite food.  However, they are said to bring good luck to those who eat them on New Years Day!  I love to partake in fun traditions, therefore I decided to experiment with black eyed peas to find a delicious way to eat them.
