Over the years I have definitely noticed if I plant without my fresh compost, I have a terrible pest season. With the compost it’s not full on pest free but very VERY much reduced.
It is a lot of work, but nothing’s better than saying, “Hey hon, you want some asparagus tonight#8221; and walking out there and snapping them off.
